Welcome to the online home of Women’s Crisis Centre Nigeria.

Established in 2002 when Women’s Crisis Centre Owerri opened the first shelter and support centre for victims for VAW in Imo State and one of the first 3 shelters nationwide. Since then we have provided training, counselling and legal services to more than 5000 women across West Africa.

There has been a steady increase in VAW facilities and support programs across the country and WCC is proud to be one of the pioneers.

WCC is constantly evolving to create a world where girls and women can find and create safety  and peace in their communities.  WCC empowers girls and women to create safe and peaceful communities.

WCC is a member of the #NGWomen4Peace Alliance
